BT Tyro - A step up from manual material handling
The BT Tyro family is our entry-level pallet and stacker truck range. Perfect for light applications in confined areas such as retail outlets, shop floors, small production sites and warehouses. The BT Tyro pallet trucks - with a choice of 1300 kg, 1500 kg or 1600 kg load capacity - are also suitable for loading and unloading lorries. This light-duty range equipped with Li-ion batteries is trustworthy, easy to use, and available at an affordable price.
A helping hand you can count on
The BT Tyro powered pallet trucks are ideal for occasional light-duty work. They will make moving goods around shops, small production sites and warehouses more ergonomic and quicker. The range exists of the 1500 kg core model, a 1300 kg model with basic specification and a 1600 kg one for an extra productivity boost on slopes.
Straightforward stacking
The BT Tyro stacker truck is designed for occasional stacking and short-distance transport. The 1000 kg model is a great support for low-intensity applications in confined areas such as small shops and businesses.

When to consider stepping up from manual material handling
Hand pallet trucks can move goods in all types of applications. They are reliable, compact, intuitive to use and they get the job done. So, when to switch to a powered entry-level pallet truck or stacker model? We have 4 considerations to motivate the choice for our BT Tyro models.
When your operation needs an extra boost in productivity
With fully powered trucks, goods can be moved quicker, requiring less effort from the operator, increasing efficiency and productivity.
On the BT Tyro, the battery can be charged overnight or battery cassettes can easily be changed, ensuring availability and readiness.
When ergonomics is important
An entry-level powered pallet truck can make light-duty work fast and smooth and puts little strain on the operator. The lift and drive functions, positioned on the truck's handle, significantly simplify the operator's work, compared to working with a manual truck.
When you want to increase safety in your operation
Hand pallet trucks are easy to access, allowing any driver to use the truck. With a powered truck, you can make sure only authorised drivers can operate the truck thanks to the PIN code on the handle.
On powered models you find functions such as creep speed for easy movement in tight areas and speed reduction for when cornering.

Frequently asked questions about light-duty pallet trucks and stackers
Entry-level powered pallet or stacker trucks like the BT Tyro let you move goods quicker and smoother. They also improve ergonomics, safety and give more flexibility.
Both our BT Tyro LHE130B and LHE150 are suitable for occasional use on slopes. For steeper gradients (up to 10%), we recommend using the LHE160 for an extra push.
All models in the BT Tyro range come with li-ion technology. Depending on model and application the battery can last a couple of hours and needs only a few hours to charge. A second battery can be ordered as an option on the LHE-models.
- LHE130B: operating time up to 2,5 hours continuous use, charging time 2,5h
- LHE150: operating time up to 5 hours continuous use, charging time 3,5 h
- LHE160: operating time up to 4,5 hours continuous use, charging time 2,5 h
No, the recommended temperature range is between +5°C and +40°C.
You can order a low temperature battery as an option on the LHE150 & LHE160 for use at lower temperatures down to -18°C. For cold store applications we recommend our Toyota BT Levio and BT Staxio models that can operate at temperatures down to -30°C.
We offer a 12-month/1000 working hours (whichever comes first) warranty for BT Tyro units sold in your market, provided that all the required maintenance conditions have been duly followed by the customer and interventions were carried out by trained technicians, as specified in the operator manual.
