This open pallet, 1200 by 800 mm, also known as a block pallet, is a block construction with three bottom boards; two on each long side and one in the centre, and five top boards for safe loading on the pallet.
It's also called a 4-way entry pallet thanks to the possibility to access the pallet with the forks from both of the short sides of the pallet, as well as across the bottom boards on each of the long sides. This makes load handling easy with virtually all types of forklift trucks, especially via the open entries on the short sides.
The EURO pallet is the most commonly used pallet type in Europe, except for in the UK.
