Do you have a keen interest in engineering? Are you looking for an exciting career opportunity? Every year we recruit a number of apprentices at various locations across the UK; with the aim of giving you job specific hands-on experience, along with a nationally recognised qualification.
What is an apprenticeship?
Apprenticeships are a system for training a new generation of practitioners of a profession with on-the-job training and accompanying study. Most of the training is done while working for an employer who helps the apprentices learn their trade. Apprentices are paid a wage and on completion of the apprenticeship can gain a professional qualification and often a permanent role.
Apprenticeships provide a great balance of work and study by mixing on-the-job training with classroom learning. You will be employed to do a real job while also studying for a qualification. You can expect:

- Be given the opportunities and time to study for your qualification
An apprenticeship at Toyota
An Apprenticeship with Toyota enables you to learn how to inspect, maintain, service and repair all types of material handling equipment including forklift trucks and warehouse equipment. During the apprenticeship you will work in different areas of the business and be supported by a mentor who will help you to develop your skills
You will commit to a three year training and development programme, which includes studying towards a mechanical/electrical qualification. In addition to receiving a nationally recognised qualification, you will develop skills and gain valuable on the job work experience. Training for this qualification will be a combination of college work and in house training.

The Toyota apprenticeship is 3 years.
The apprenticeship is a mix of college and on-the-job training, when you are working you will either be on site or in the field.
You will learn how to inspect, maintain, service and repair all types of materials handling equipment including forklift trucks and warehouse equipment.
Apprentice technicians require 5 GCSE's including Maths and English, as well as an interest in electrics and mechanics.
The majority of Toyota apprentice graduates will get offered a permanent role within Toyota.
