The BT Levio LWE130 and the BT Staxio HWE100 are powered warehouse trucks that are productive in a wide variety of lower-intensity applications. The LWE130 powered pallet truck can transport loads of up to 1.3 tonnes over short to medium distances with a travel speed of up to 5.5 km/h; while the HWE100 truck can stack up to 1 tonne to heights of up to 2 metres.
The compact size and lightweight design make them ideal for working in confined spaces such as shops, supermarkets or in the back of delivery vehicles. Their low noise levels would make them ideal for environments such as hospitals or for making out-of-hours deliveries in residential areas.
Tony Wallis, Commercial Director says “At Toyota, we pride ourselves on continuous improvement and we have applied this thinking to the further development of these trucks. The additional features available now offer customers increased comfort, reduced noise levels, more efficient charging and improved energy efficiency”.
Both models are equipped with a low-maintenance AC motor that offers durability and strength, as well as low energy consumption. They also come with a built-in mains charger for fast and easy charging. The LWE130 pallet truck offers the option of an in-vehicle charging system which is great for the transport industry as it allows for opportunity charging when travelling on delivery vehicles. In-vehicle charging features intelligent control so it only operates when the vehicle transporting the truck is running.
For improved operator comfort, these trucks are designed to be user-friendly with programmable driver parameters. To ensure safe and efficient use, they are both designed to be compatible with the I_Site truck management system that controls operator access through the use of a PIN code, monitors truck utilisation and detects possible impacts in real time.
The LWE130 and HWE100 also features the unique click-2-creep function, meaning that by double-clicking the control lever the truck is set to creep speed which allows safer control in small spaces, and both models feature a 5-point chassis that gives excellent stability and control. The HWE100 stacker offers automatic height adjustment as an option which uses a photocell to monitor the height of the top of the load. As items are moved on and off, the fork height is automatically adjusted to a comfortable level for the operator.
Wallis adds, “We previewed the LWE130 powered pallet truck at IMHX 2016 and it received very positive feedback. This truck is perfect for the transport and haulage industry. The compact lightweight design, low maintenance batteries and motors plus the option for in-vehicle charging makes this truck ideal working on the back of delivery trailers”.
