Toyota Tonero being used in the construction industry

Fuelling your ambition

Previously, we have written about the different types of powering your counterbalance forklift trucks. Today, we’d like to focus on engine powered forklifts and the different fuel types available.
Gas vs diesel fuel type

The Toyota Tonero engine powered forklift can be fuelled by either diesel or liquid petroleum gas (LPG). The choice of fuel for your forklift can be influenced by many different factors including the operating environment, operating time and the distance travelled during your application. Here are some things you should consider.

Your application

As we’ve previously mentioned, the truck fits the application and not the other way round. You may work primarily indoors and think that an LPG forklifts low exhaust emissions are more suitable or you do long runs along a yard with an uneven surface and need a diesel. However, things are not always that simple and this is why our team of materials handling experts are here to provide you with advice that can help.

Cost

There are many costs to consider whether you’re purchasing or leasing a forklift truck. You’ve got the cost of the truck itself, service costs and even the cost of the fuel itself. Each member of the Toyota team is equipped the knowledge to provide you with the most efficient, safe and cost effective solution for your operation.

Here at Toyota, we understand that the decision to invest in a forklift is a big one and we want to ensure you make the right choice. This is why we would recommend that you have a free site survey conducted by a member of our team to fully understand your operation. Then you can organise a free demonstration or truck trial to see if the forklift you have chosen is suitable for your application.

If you would like more information about our range of forklift trucks or would like to arrange for a free site survey, you can fill in our online contact form or call 0370 850 1409 today.
