Workshop Engineer - Old Dalby

We are looking for a number of Skilled Workshop Engineers to join our existing team within our Industry leading Fleet Management complex (FMC).

The Position

The position is focused on the inspection, preparation and repair of a wide range of Materials Handling Equipment (Diesel, gas and electric counterbalance forklift trucks, electric warehousing equipment etc)  to support our Short term rental, used equipment and Demonstration divisions. This is a very dynamic and varied position; no two days are the same.

Who are we looking for?

  • You will be an experienced engineer who has the skills, ability and the attention to detail to prepare and repair equipment to the highest Safety, cosmetic and reliability standards in the industry.
  • You will have preferably gained experience within the MHE industry or an allied discipline such as Plant, Agriculture, Automotive or HGV.                                                                   
  • You will enjoy working in a busy well-structured and highly provisioned environment that operates to the highest Health & Safety, environmental and welfare standards.                       
  • You will be Computer literate with experience of using computer based software to update and fault find.       
  • You will have experience of using Computer based programs to view technical information, order parts and manage your time.
  • You will be someone who is not afraid to work on their own initiative knowing there is full technical and welfare support available should you need it.                                                
  • You will be the type of individual who wants to be part of a friendly, dynamic and well established team focused on excellence and the support of the wider business.


Technical and driver training is carried out by our own ‘in house’ TMHUK Training division. TMHUK see training as a lifelong commitment. You will also have the opportunity to train in other skills deemed as essential in order to support the operation such as welding and fabrication, First aid, fire marshal and Apprentice mentor training
