National Forklift Safety Day (NFSD) is organised by The British Industrial Truck Association and is on Tuesday 9th June 2020. Taking place at the perfect time to highlight the importance of safety as lockdown begins to ease. The key message for this year’s campaign is: Management is responsible for segregating pedestrians from materials handling equipment. It is essential to maintain safe forklift use all year round and the best way to ensure a safe working environment is to plan for your operators and your environment.
BITA has created a new website, dedicated to promoting NFSD and its key message. The website holds a lot of insightful information relating to the issue of safely segregating pedestrians and materials handling equipment in the workplace, ready to download for free on the website, from e-books to videos and posters relating to accident statistics, physical barriers, risk assessment, assistance systems, working around load handling equipment and training.
Toyota are committed to helping you to improve safety, which is why we offer free resource materials to help you start improving operational safety and efficiency in your workplace. View our range of free posters and guides here.
