We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Market Intelligence Analyst based in Castleford.  

About the job – the main responsibilities

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Production and analysis of industry statistics including liaison with the relevant reporting body.

  • Production of market insight identifying broader opportunities for the business.

  • Produce customer segments and lists from existing data sources for use in sales and marketing campaigns.

  • Work closely with marketing, telemarketing and sales functions to deliver effective campaigns.

  • Generation of insight into customer types, behaviour and opportunities across different sectors.

  • Market research – undertaken using both in-house resources and external agencies.

  • Production and distribution of different reports to the business (ideally with solid data visualisation).

  • Undertake data mapping on sales territories etc. to assist insight and reporting.

  • Use a variety of IT platforms (Excel, CRM etc.) in report production.

  • Finding innovative new market intelligence data sources and developing them for competitive advantage.

  • Management of customer data sources and acquisition of additional data.

  • Strategic overview of our CRM system and data management on it.

  • Working closely with financial analysts to further develop customer insight and sales performance.

  • Engagement with product teams to identify customer needs and behavior.

  • Build our level of competitor intelligence.

  • Develop and implement procedures for capturing market data from teams across the business.

  • Continually improve our data validation processes.

  • Monitor performance against KPIs

Who are we looking for

All you need to apply is:

  • Likely a graduate with a degree in a related topic: statistics, marketing, mathematics, or similar.

  • Advanced Excel skills, experience in working with SQL, Qlikview, Power BI or similar, desirable.

  • Experience of working with different CRM platforms desirable.

  • Basic coding skills in languages such as Python or R, desirable.

  • Experience of dashboard development useful.

  • Knowledge of market research (quant and qual) useful.

  • Knowledge of statistics useful.

  • Highly numerate

  • A flexible approach
