We are currently looking to recruit an experienced field service engineer to service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and other equipment in businesses across the UK.
About the job – the main responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the role include:
To service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment at sites across the UK.
To deal promptly with customers’ enquiries, complaints or problems and refer immediately to higher authority if required
Follow safety process and ensure safe working practices at all times
To maintain ‘vehicle stocks’, company tools, manuals and all other company property in good and clean order
To correctly complete and submit work sheets, weekly report sheets and all other relevant returns on time
To ensure that the company’s safety regulations are followed at all times, and report any anomalies immediately
To promote at all times a good company image, know the company’s procedures related to your job and develop good customer relations
Who are we looking for
All you need to apply is:
Experience in mechanical engineering (service and maintenance)
A background as a forklift engineer, plant fitter, plant technician or similar type of role would be beneficial.
Basic electrical knowledge would be beneficial
Full driving licence
- The ability to work across all areas of the UK (overnight stays may be required)
- Flexibility towards your working location
